Fayad Ali - Mathematics
“The Great Man’ held his first stick of chalk on October first 1976 and in that grasp was clasped the passion of a lifetime. Forty-five years later he has helped to shape the minds of fifty thousand students.
The atom F in the chemical FJD, the name, Fayad Ali is on the cover of over one hundred and forty mathematics titles used as textbooks and study guides across the Caribbean.
FA has the distinct pleasure of teaching all 5 President Gold medal winners at Naparima College and several others throughout the country. His teaching has earned him prestigious awards for outstanding contribution to education in Trinidad and Tobago.
Among these are ‘The Trinidad and Tobago Public Service Award’ and the Keys to the city of San Fernando Award.
He is regarded as an excellent orator and delivers model lessons in mathematics to student-teachers at the University level. He has continuously preached that the biggest problem in mathematics is English.
